Styles for Thin Hair

Styles for Thin Hair

Don’t worry if you have thin hair. It may seem like a challenge, but you can definitely make the most of your natural hair, even if it isn’t thick. There are many styles that work well for thin hair, but you do need to learn which ones work for you.

You have probably heard that it isn’t good to shampoo daily. Having thin hair is an exception to this rule. Oily hair drags down thin hair, so you want to use shampoo every day. A daily wash will keep your thin hair from looking droopy. Save conditioner for the ends only and stay away from your root area.

Try braiding your hair at night after a quick shampoo. Sometimes you can wake up the next morning with a wavy look to your hair. This can be a quick change-up to your usual style.

Adding some curls can give thin hair some volume and makes your hair appear thicker. Use a curling iron and curl one section at a time. Pin your hair up first, and start with the lower sections. When you finish one section, spritz some hairspray on that area. When you are finished use hairspray over the whole head and your look will last all day.

A short bob works great with thinner hair. Blunt ends and minimal layers help your hair look fuller. Blow your hair dry while your head hangs down. You can muss up your hair a bit or use a flat iron for a sleek look.

You will want to choose high quality products that don’t weigh your hair down. Try a light mousse or volumizer. Make sure the products are made with volume in mind, and not heavy enough to weigh your strands down.

Talk to your stylist, and we will be able to help you find the best hair style for you. You will walk away with a new look and hair that looks fuller and even thicker.
