Why Not Try Eyelash Extensions?
It takes so long to put on fake eyelashes that most ladies do not want to bother with them. Eyelash Extensions are a great alternative and can be done at a salon appointment. Here are some basics about eyelash extensions.
There are three different kinds of lash extensions – synthetic, mink, and silk. There are different thicknesses as well, and we can help you choose the right one for you.
Eyelash extensions are carefully applied one at a time. Semi-permanent glue will be used that is formulated to not irritate your eye and will not damage your natural lashes. If you notice any irritation or burning during the application process, please let your esthetician know as they can change to an alternate type of glue. This experience should never be painful or uncomfortable.
Plan on spending about two hours in the salon to have a full set of eyelash extensions done. For your first time, you may want to try a half-set, which would be 50-60% of your top lashes. You can always add more to get your desired look. Depending on your lashes’ natural thickness, we will find the correct thickness that can be used without damaging your own eyelashes. Touch-ups are recommended at least monthly to keep your lashes looking lovely.
It is not recommended to get your new lash extensions wet for at least 24-48 hours. Try not to touch or pull on your extensions. After you shower you may need to reshape your lashes a little. Make sure you don’t get excessive amounts of shampoo or conditioner on your lashes, since this can loosen the bond over time. You can gently comb them out and use a cool setting on your blow dryer to fan them in place. With a little care you can keep your eyelash extensions looking great for a long time.
