Ways to Use Eyeliner
Maybe you have used the same kind of liner for a long time, and are not sure what else to try. Even if you have a great eyeliner, you could still use some new tips for different application techniques. Check out these eyeliner tips and definitions.
There are great new colors on the market right now, so don’t be afraid to try a new look! If you don’t feel daring, you can still mix it up a little by using brown and black liners. Use one color on the upper lid and the other color on the bottom lid for a subtle, but different type of look.
Don’t underestimate smudging. The easiest way to smudge your liner is to use a cotton swab. Make sure to smudge all the way across for a more natural look.
When applying liner, don’t try to draw one long line. You should draw short lines instead and overlap the lines. This gives you the look of a continuous line but is more natural looking.
You need to pull your skin back when you are lining the top lid. Being tighter will help you get a straighter line that is closer to the lash line.
If you are going for a dramatic look, make sure to line your inner lid. Go ahead and use liner on the lower lase line for a blended look.
Waterproof liner is just what it says. You may not need waterproof liner year round, but it is great in the summer or when the humidity is high.
Liquid liners last longer and give you a look with more drama. It does take time to get the hang of applying a liquid liner, since it is not as forgiving and can smear easily
The easiest liner to apply is a pencil type. The pencil type liners keep the longest, too. This type of liner gives you a softer, more feminine look.
