Derivatives of flowers have been used for ages to help women look their best. Here are just some of the clever ways to use flowers in your beauty routine.
Roses
You can get softer and smoother skin by using rosewater. Do not confuse this with rose scented lotions, which don’t have the benefits of true rose water. You can buy rosewater or even make your own. Rosewater helps fight acne and is cooling to the skin. You can use rosewater as a cleanser or toner. Add a few drops to your normal moisturizer and see the difference!
Orchids
You may be surprised to see that many new eye creams are using the extract of purple orchids as an ingredient. This extract is a great antioxidant that can help in the fight against fine line and crow’s feet. The orchid extract is also known for plumping up dry skin naturally. Look for this ingredient in the next cream you buy.
Hibiscus
Hibiscus has long been used in treating thinning hair. The Hibiscus flower has lots of B and C vitamins in it. You find find shampoos that have Hibiscus as an ingredient to help fragile or thin hair strands. You can even make your own shampoo with Hibiscus tea!

The Calendula is a bright orange flower with great antibacterial properties. This flower can really help to heal facial blemishes and soothe your skin. A great cleanser can be made from calendula tea and won’t dry out your skin.
