The Hands are the Windows to…Your Age!
You take care of yourself, and you look great. People tell you all the time that you look younger than you actually are. Your hands, however, can give you away. Did you know that the hands are the first body part that will really show your age?
Your hands age quicker because they are always being exposed to the elements. Getting damaged by the sun is also a big cause of aging. It is helpful to use a sunscreen product on the back of your hands that is SPF 15 or more. The UV rays of the sun soak up collagen, which are the molecules that keep our skin youthful and plump looking. This skin on the back of your hands is much thinner than the skin on your neck and face, and needs extra protection. Make sure you moisturize your hands daily, especially at night.
You can give your hands some much needed love and care with a nice manicure. Let your mind and body relax while your hands have a soothing soak in warm water that contains rejuvenating moisturizers. The soaking helps soften the cuticles, too, which can then be pushed back gently, without damaging them.
A nice manicure can do more than just make you feel pretty. Having the nail tips shaped, but not the sides, actually keeps your nails stronger. Wearing nail polish distracts others from noticing signs of aging such as age spots or veins. A pale, metallic polish looks good on most hands, and nicely reflects the light. We can also give you some bright pops of color for a special occasion, or just for fun.
Ending the manicure with a nice touch or our natural botanical lotions will leave you with even softer, lovely hands that will defy aging. Go ahead and show off those youthful, beautiful hands!
