The Bangs Decision
Have you been thinking about trying a new hair style and maybe trying bangs? You might think bangs look cute on others but aren’t too sure about how they will look on you. Almost anyone can pull off bangs, but there are some things you will want to think about before you go for it.
There are several things to consider when thinking about bangs. Take into consideration the length of your hair, shape of your face, and thickness of your hair.
If you have a square shaped face, try long, wispy bangs that just go below the brows. They should be tapered a bit on the sides to add some softness. Ask your stylist to cut them so they fall just below your brow line, but don’t overwhelm your face. The longer wisps on the side are fine, and the middle should be more feathery.
For a rounder face, you have to be careful because bangs will tend to make your face look even fuller. You need to go with thicker bangs in this case, not wispy or feathery ones. A curved shape to the bangs will look more flattering.
Soft bangs swept to the side will complement a heart shaped face. This type of bang adds some balance to the face and will highlight your eyes. A feathered and layered bang is the best bet.
Oval faces can do almost any kind of bangs, but try straight bangs that hit between the eyelash and brow. Keep the edges longer than the middle. You can sweep them to the side or part them with your hair.
If you have a high forehead, you can use bangs to hide part of it and make your features look more balanced. Try bangs that swing when you move. These kind of bangs will be thicker to look best.
