Are you planning a getaway to go cruising to a warmer destination? Whether you are going to a tropical locale or just a river cruise in Europe, you will want to look your best, but with the least amount of fuss. Here are some tips to help you look fresh and beautiful.
If you are going somewhere sunny, then get a hydrating facial before your trip. Stay away from peels or laser treatments since the sun will damage your skin. Make sure to pack sunscreen and moisturizer to keep your skin healthy. You are bound to be outside, no matter where your cruise is headed.
The week before your cruise, you will want to get your hair trimmed. Don’t do highlights or color too close to the date you’re departing. You can get a UV spray to protect your hair from the sun and pool chemicals.
You’ll want to keep your makeup simple during the day. You can even out your skin tone with a liquid bronzer (just make sure it has SPF for protection.) A little shadow and waterproof liner/mascara and you are good all day.
If you want to amp up your makeup for evening events, A brighter lipstick or gloss will take it up a notch. For eyes, just add a more shimmery shadow and you will be ready for the party.
Manis and pedis are a great pre-trip treat as well. Just go for a natural look that will hold up during your trip. Luckily most cruise ships have a spa so you can always get a touch up if you need it.
After you get home you may want to get a detox facial to help recuperate from dry air or lots of sunshine. For your hair, use a clarifying shampoo and deep conditioning treatment to get your locks back in shape.
