Get Your Beauty Sleep!
Most of us lack getting enough sleep, which can be detrimental to our health. Lack of sleep will show up on your face with dark circles under the eyes. You will start to just look worn out and tired, and who wants that? There are definitely ways to improve your sleep, just by making some easy changes. Try some of these and sleep better!
Cool and dark is best
The bedroom should be cooler for better sleep. Try between sixty to sixty-seven degrees. Some people do best with complete silence, while other prefer a noise machine or a fan. Complete darkness is more conducive to good sleep, also. You can try earplugs or a sleep mask and see if that works for you as well.
Work Out- but not too late
Regular exercise will help you sleep better at night. Just avoid exercising in the evening, as that will have the opposite effect. Compare how you sleep on the days you work out and you should see an improvement in no time.
Disconnect
Disconnecting from electronics and establishing a relaxing routine before going to bed will make a huge difference. About an hour before bedtime, turn off the devices and dim the lights. This will make it easier to fall asleep, but also the quality of your sleep will improve. Try some calming music or read a little before bed.
How long is enough?
The amount of sleep we need varies from person to person. Try to get a least 7 hours if you can. If you just don’t fall asleep right away, go to bed a little earlier to allow for that. You can adjust your bedtime as needed once you figure out what is best for you.
A good foundation
You must start with a good foundation for good sleep – your bed. You will probably not sleep well on an old or uncomfortable mattress. The average mattress life is about ten years, so consider replacing your bed if it is older than that. A good mattress will support your body and give you a better night’s sleep.
