Fashion Fixes in a Pinch
We all have fashion disasters or annoyances at some time. Instead of letting them ruin your day, be ready to fix them in a hurry. We have some great tips for you to be ready when fashion disaster strikes.
Eating your favorite Italian salad and get some oily dressing on your blouse? For oily spots on your clothes, first blot out the excess oil with a towel. Cover the spot with a good amount of salt, cornstarch or baby powder. Give it just a few minutes to soak up the oil from the spot. Next rub with hand or dish soap, or even shampoo (make sure these are color-free.) The spot should lift out, and then you can wash the item as you normally would, but by itself.
Maybe you snagged your favorite sweater and think it is ruined. Try pushing the snagged part back inside if you are able. This should stop the snag from getting bigger. If there is enough yarn, pull it through to the inside and see if you can tie it into knots. If you can tie it the sweater should last for a good amount of time, and you can still wear it.
Static Cling can be conquered. Hand or body lotion works great. Just rub on your body under the clothes and the static will be gone. It doesn’t matter if the lotion is scented or unscented, just make sure if it is colored that it won’t show up on the fabric of your clothes.
Tired of panty lines? Your best friend in underwear is a seamless and nude panty. It doesn’t matter if you want a thong, or boy short style. The boy short actually is the most invisible. You always want this type of underwear in your wardrobe.
You may want to put together an emergency kit for your purse. Include bandages, bobby pins, safety pins, and a sewing kit. You will be ready for almost anything!
